Spring is finally here, and your home may have had as rough a winter as you did! So, here are a few things you can do to help your home recover from the winter and prepare for the spring.
First do a quick run through and make a list of any repairs you need to tackle. Check the trees in your yard for any cracks or damage and trim any broken limbs to prevent major problems. Pruning your shrubs is a good idea as well. Even if they came through the winter looking healthier than ever, you’ll want to trim the hedges to prepare for the warmer months ahead. Winter can take a toll on your gutters, so grab the ladder and do a quick check for any damage. While you’re up there, clean out any debris that could breed further decay. It’s a good idea to do a visual check of your roof and foundation to make sure the winter hasn’t caused minor damage that could turn into major repairs.
