Most people would agree that over the past eight years, healthcare reform has indeed occurred.  Some say for the better, some say for the worse.  With a new administration in Washington, it looks like we may once again be in for some form of healthcare reform.  For South Carolinians, will it be for the better or for the worse?

10 years ago, an attractive piece of Charleston, South Carolina real estate was slated to be developed into a high-end, mixed-use resort-style community…but then the real estate market collapsed.  A few years later, the owners tried to attract industry to the property, but to no avail.  Now it looks like we may be coming full circle as the prospective owners of this Upper Peninsula island have announced plans to build an upscale, mixed-use community there once again.

There’s a major small business support organization with offices all across the country, including here in our state, who help entrepreneurs with capital, counseling, landing government contracts, and disaster assistance.  The latter of which, companies in our state have needed two years in a row now.
